WWF & PATA Foundation Awards program was established in 1999. The Award consists of the following categories:
1. Conservation of Wildlife
2. 2 Individual Awards
3. 1 Organization Award
Award includes citation and cash award of Rs. 1 Lakh. Applicants are screened by awards committee consisting of WWF, PATA Chapter, Industry specialists and Life Member Mr Inder Sharma. Awards are presented annually. Awards are funded by initial corpus established by PATA Foundation & WWF.
PATA India & WWF successfully conducted WWF PATA bagh Mitra Awards, on 19th December, 2016 at WWF Secretariat office at Lodhi Estate, New Delhi
Mr. Inder Sharma, Life Member PATA India, along with Ravi Singh, WWF India secretary general, presented the awards to the following winners
The Pench-Bor Tiger Reserve Conservation Foundation, awarded in the organization category, received the honour on the basis of their work to promote job based skill development aimed at youth and women folk of the region. Through this initiative over 1200 youth have been provided with alternate livelihood option. The Foundation has also initiated a unique Green School Programme, reaching out to nearly half a lakh school students into direct action related to wildlife and nature conservation. M S Reddy received the award on behalf of Pench Bor Tiger Conservation Foundation
Mr Ashish Tiwari, Special Secretary, Forest & Environment, Government of Uttar Pradesh, awarded under the Individual category, has played an instrumental role in bringing various stakeholders such as inter-agency cooperation involving enforcement agencies, civil society representatives like WWF, Katerniaghat Foundation, media, judiciary and the trans-boundary Nepal police and forces on a common platform. He has worked in Dudhwa Tiger Reserve for more than 6 years and has been at the helm of operations in the Hastinapur Wildlife Sanctuary for over 2 years.

At a glittering ceremony, graced by President of India Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, the National Tourism Awards were presented on World Tourism Day, at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi.
